Update from SriLankan Airlines - following the series of explosions that occurred in Sri Lanka



Colombo April 22, 2019: Following the extremely unfortunate incident that occurred in Sri Lanka yesterday which resulted in 290 deaths, the authorities have decided to impose curfew again from 8 pm today until 4 am tomorrow (April 23, 2019).

SriLankan Airlines assures passengers of all airlines flying out of Bandaranaike International Airport during the period, that they can reach the Airport during curfew, by producing their air tickets and passports to security forces at check points.

Given that security has been tightened at the Airport premises, passengers are requested to arrive four hours before their flights.

The Airline’s Global Contact Centre and staff have been working continuously to ensure the comfort and convenience of our valued passengers by accommodating their requests and preferences under prevailing circumstances. The National Carrier considers safety and convenience of its passengers its topmost priority, as such the Airline has taken every necessary measure to serve its valued guests.

The Airline also mourns the lives that were lost due to this extremely unfortunate incident and expresses its condolences to the families and loved ones of those affected by it.
