State of Qatar temporary suspends travel to and from China, Bangladesh, India, Italy, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Syria, South Korea, and Thailand

SriLankan Airlines wishes to bring to the notice of our valued guests that entry to the state of Qatar will be temporarily suspended for all those intending to travel from certain countries as of March 09th, 2020.

This step has been taken by the Government of Qatar as a preventive measure due to the spread of COVID -19 worldwide

This decision by the Government of Qatar includes the following countries – China, Bangladesh, India, Italy, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Syria, South Korea, and Thailand.

The suspension extends to all individuals intending to enter from these countries including those who seek visas upon arrival, those with a residence or work permit, and temporary visitors.

The state of Qatar also urges its citizens to avoid all but essential travel at this time.

This precautionary measure will be reviewed and updated as per International guidelines in curtailing the spread of Coronavirus.
