With SriLankan Airlines “Time To Think” option, you are now able to secure your preferred booking and fare for the next 48 hours by simply paying a holding fee. This gives you plenty of time to firm up your plans before you make your purchase. You may proceed to pay the full fare within the holding period once you are sure of your travels. Holding time will be only 24 hours if you are booking within the period 2 to 7 days prior to flight departure.
How does Time To Think work?
Complete your travel itinerary and select the Time To Think option at the payment
page.
You will be required to pay a small fee to guarantee your booking and flight. This
fee is Non- refundable will not be deducted from your total ticket.
Once you pay the holding fee, you will receive an email confirmation with your booking
reference together with the final payment deadline.
Once you’ve decided, you can pay the full fare within the holding period through
Manage My Booking option at our website to avoid any cancellation.
Important Information
This facility is available for bookings made minimum 2 days prior to flight departure.
For bookings made between 7 days to 2 days prior the flight departure, 24 hours’ ticketing time limit is granted.
For bookings made more than 7 days prior the flight departure, 48 hours’ ticketing time limit is granted.
Extension of payment deadline for this service is not possible.
Terms & Conditions
Holding fee is an additional fee (net per passenger) and will not be deducted from
the ticket fare when you are making the full payment.
You can make the payment for the purchase of ticket later via SriLankan Airlines
Manage My Booking through a credit/debit card only. Payments are not permitted through
the ticket offices, call center, and other offline channels.
If the full payment has not been made on time, your booking will be cancelled, and
the holding fee will be forfeited.
If you have done any changes to the original travel itinerary by any offline channel
during the holding period, you will not be able to complete the payment through
Manage My Booking and the Time to think fee will not be refunded.
Airline will not be liable for the bookings canceled due to the nonpayment within
the given period.
The holding fee is a non-refundable and non-transferable one-time fee.
Time to think option cannot be used for Sri Lankan Airlines fares booked via frequent
flyer Miles and Cash option.
This facility will be available for online bookings throughout the network for UL
flights only. If your Itinerary includes UL codeshare flights (UL 4 digit flight
number) and other Airline flights, this service is not available.
Once your reservation is under the holding period, you will not be able to add or
remove any additional services.
Please note that your seat selections can be changed due to Aircraft changes during
the holding period. In that case, you will be assigned with the best suitable seat.
